Sharing is Caring: The European Dream
WRITTEN BY KLERVI GAVET · DIRECTED BY BARIS CELILOGLU
Set in modern-day London, the play follows a young international squat the day they are discovered by the police. What started as a utopian community soon turns into a war zone, where old friendships break and unlikely alliances form.
A metaphor on Europe — celebrating our collective history in all its glory and grief, and examining the impact of high-level politics on ordinary interactions.
What is privilege? Can one ever unlearn what they've been taught?

AROUND THE PLAY
At the heart of its DNA, Big Sister carries a desire to rethink the place theatre holds in our lives. We place our projects inside a wider experience, one that reaches past the two hours you spend within four walls on a given night.
Below is what that has looked like so far.
A FUNDRAISER
A techno night in support of our production 'Sharing is Caring'.
The play includes a key scene set at an underground electronic rave. This event invited audiences to experience that world in real life - before seeing it brought to the stage.
While raising essential funds, the night was a creative bridge deepening public engagement with the themes of the production: migration, community, and collective joy.

A PUBLIC READING 26.10.24
An afternoon reading of the script at the Museum of Home in Hoxton, open to anyone with a stake in housing, migrant rights and modern politics — and a way for voices outside the company to shape a play still being written.
